01 Use

What it does

Silhouette of a bulldozer: wide tracks carrying the machine, cab in the centre, a large curved front blade mounted on push arms, and at the rear a ripper tooth going down into the ground. Diagrammatic silhouette, without dimensions and not to scale.
What sets it apart:
it pushes, it does not load — its blade does not lift to empty.
Diagrammatic silhouette, without dimensions and not to scale.

Pushing material ahead of you over a short distance, stripping, opening a haul road, grading a fill.

What it does not do. It does not load, it does not lift, and it does not turn on the spot without marking the ground.

02 Fitting
A tracked bulldozer pushing a roll of soil ahead of it with its front blade, grading fill; the ripper is visible at the rear. Rolling countryside, site fencing and workers at a distance.
It pushes, it does not load:
the material stays on the ground and moves forward in front of the blade.
Synthetic image.
A tracked bulldozer with the blade down, pushing a windrow of crushed rock ahead of it on a platform being levelled.
It does not load, it pushes:
it is the blade and the weight that work, never a bucket.

What decides its use

  • The volume and the distance They are what decide whether this machine has a place on the site, or whether another will do the same work for less.
  • The room available A machine that cannot manoeuvre does not produce, whatever its capacity.
  • The rate of the neighbouring machines It is rarely calculated and often costs more than the hire:
a machine that waits costs as much as a machine that works.
  • Transport to the worksite It governs what can actually be sent, and it is settled before everything else.

These values are those of one precise model, at one precise date. They do not describe a category:
there are no characteristics of a compact loader in general, there are those of the model you have.
They change from one year to the next and never replace the data sheet of your machine.
