New products, events and changes

Three things live here:
what arrives in the catalogue, trade events, and what changes on this site.

Every item of information on this page carries its source and the date on which we recorded it. What we have not been able to check is written as such; what we have not found is written as not found — and there is some.
We prefer an honest page to a full one.

Rhythm

This page is updated when something happens, not to a calendar.
An attachments site does not have news every day, and pretending otherwise would be the first lie.

Demonstration day: four people walk up a gravel drive towards two tracked excavators, and a dozen attachments are lined up on the grass — earthmoving buckets, breaker, sorting grab, auger, demolition shear
A new product is not judged on a data sheet. Most of the events listed here are days when the tool is set on the ground, and you can walk round it. Synthetic image.
01 The catalogue

What is arriving in the catalogue

The catalogue is built family by family.
Every new attachment arrives with its complete page — use, selection criteria, points to check — and not with a simple catalogue line.

The catalogue is not finished, and the page you are missing is not a refusal. If the tool you are looking for does not yet have one, describe your need :
the answer does not depend on the site.

02 Events

Trade shows and demonstrations, in France

Seeing a tool at work is worth more than reading about it.
Here is the diary as we recorded it on 27 August 2026, with, for each line, the degree of verification — because they are not all equal.

Call the organiser before booking anything at all. We date every record and we say what we have read ourselves; we cannot guarantee that a date has not moved since. A wrong show date makes you travel for nothing.

We were there:
Salonvert, 23 and 24 September 2026

Arnaud Dufour was at Salonvert on Wednesday 23 and Thursday 24 September 2026, at the Château de Baville in Saint-Chéron, Essonne:
the meeting place for landscaping and green-space professionals.

One week after the site was announced, more than 3,000 responses have been\ counted: readings, messages, remarks about the tools described or\ left out.
They come through the form and by message, and they are handled one\ by one. What comes next happens in the field.

To meet on site and talk about a machine to equip:
I would like to meet you
or a call to 01 84 16 55 49.

This meeting form is hosted by Google, not on this site:
what you write in it goes to them, not to us. If you would rather give them nothing, call instead — the number above is enough, and it records nothing.

This announcement is also on Facebook and on LinkedIn.

The four dates we have read ourselves

  • INTERMAT — 21 to 24 April 2027, Paris-Nord Villepinte The French show for earthmoving machines and their equipment:
buckets, quick couplers, breakers, sorting grabs and augers are all there, with the manufacturers and the large hire companies. It has not been held since 2024. Read on the organiser's site, Comexposium — intermatconstruction.com, on 27/08/2026
  • Salon des Maires et des Collectivités Locales — 24 to 26 November 2026, Paris Porte de Versailles, hall 7 The only place where, in three days, you meet the municipal technical departments and the joint authorities — the people who buy the mini-excavators, the ditching buckets, the flail mowers and the road grabs. It is the next big date in the calendar. salondesmaires.com, on 27/08/2026
  • SIM Congress and Exhibition — exhibition from 7 to 9 October 2026, Châlons-en-Champagne Quarries and aggregates:
the audience that consumes the most reinforced buckets, teeth, breakers and wear parts. 75th edition. ⚠ Two pages from the same organiser do not say the same thing:
    the association's site announces “from 6 to 9 October”, the exhibition's site “7, 8 and 9 October”.
The likely explanation is a congress opening the day before the exhibition, but neither of the two pages says so.
We keep the exhibition dates, which we have read. expositionsim.com, on 27/08/2026
  • AgriSIMA — postponed, with no new date The banner on the official site announces the postponement of the first edition, in a press release of 22 October 2025. No replacement date has been published. agrisima.com, on 27/08/2026

The diary as recorded, to be reconfirmed with each organiser

These dates appear on the organisers' sites as at 27 August 2026, but we have not reopened each of those pages ourselves — the difference is written down, it matters.

What it is better to know before setting aside a day

  • ARTIBAT is not held in 2026 The show has been set on odd years since 2020.
    Next edition:
    October 2027.
  • The AgriSIMA site still shows the old dates Its press-review section still contains articles announcing February 2026, from before the postponement. They are archives, not an announcement.
  • FOREXPO has announced no date Last edition in June 2025.
The organiser claims a four-yearly rhythm, but deducing a year from it would be a calculation, not a date.
  • The Dig Tour:
the most useful format, the weakest source
It is a travelling show where you take the controls and try the machines in a quarry — the only place where you can really try a bucket or a breaker before buying. ⚠ But the organising body is named nowhere on the event's site, and the home page mixes two years. Call before you travel.
  • Four shows about which we say nothing Salon des TP, Construction Days, TP-Expo Égletons, Espace BTP:
no identifiable organiser's site, or no published date. We would rather write nothing than write an exhibitor's date.
03 The trade

What is moving in the trade

The developments that change something in the choice of an attachment — not the press releases.
A press release is not a fact:
it is a company statement, and half of what is announced is not sold in France.

Since 21 August 2026:
every public contract has an environmental criterion

Every public contract must now include at least one award criterion of an environmental nature and at least one environmental performance condition.
Contracts published before that date are not affected.

If you bid for public contracts, this is the deadline that concerns you today — and it is the real lever in favour of low-nuisance sites, far more than an engine emission standard. Article 35 of Law no. 2021-1104 of 22 August 2021, known as the Climate and Resilience Act — recorded on 27/08/2026

20 January 2027:
the Machinery Regulation, and one sentence that concerns us all

European Regulation 2023/1230 replaces the 2006 directive and becomes applicable on 20 January 2027.
One point concerns us directly, you as much as us:
whoever substantially modifies a machine becomes its manufacturer within the meaning of the regulation.

A coupler adaptation, a conversion, an assembly that goes beyond what the manufacturer intended:
that is not an administrative detail, it is a transfer of liability. It is one of the reasons why we refuse to state that a tool will fit a machine without having checked. Regulation (EU) 2023/1230 — recorded on 27/08/2026

The electric excavator, and what it really changes for the tools

  • The hydraulics do not change — it can be checked on the data sheet At Volvo, the electric version of the ECR25 shows exactly the same figures as the diesel version:
58 l/min of pump flow, 250 bar of working pressure, 50 l/min on the auxiliary circuit, 23 l/min on the second attachment circuit, and the same type S coupler. ⚠ This demonstration covers one pair of models:
we have found no source that extends it to every range and every manufacturer. Volvo CE product data sheets, ECR25D and ECR25 Electric — recorded on 27/08/2026
  • What changes is not the consumption, it is the time it takes to replenish Filling the tank takes a few minutes; recharging takes hours — from less than two hours with a fast charger to ten hours on a domestic socket depending on the machines and the sockets. It is the recharging time that creates the site constraint, not the consumption itself. Manufacturer data sheets and Kiloutou hire sheet PEL28E — recorded on 27/08/2026
  • A tool with a continuous function costs range — but nobody has published how much A breaker in the mini-excavator class demands high, continuous hydraulic power.
The direction is established; the scale is not. ⚠ We have found no published measurement of the range of an electric excavator working with an attachment. Any figure you might read on this point would be a calculation presented as a measurement. We shall not give you one.
  • The quietness, for its part, is measured — but it does not open up night working Between the two versions of the same Volvo model, the difference in sound power is 9 dB(A) — 93 against 84 —, and this marking is a regulatory obligation, not a sales argument. ⚠ But the hours for noisy work are set locally, by prefectural or municipal order, and they forbid night work whatever the equipment.
An electric machine strengthens an application for an exemption; it does not grant it. LWA marking under the order of 18 March 2002 · article R. 1336-10 of the French public health code — recorded on 27/08/2026
  • Indoors, on the other hand, the argument is solid — and it is not noise Diesel exhaust gases have been classified as carcinogenic to humans since 2012, and an occupational exposure limit value has applied since February 2023. The INRS explicitly recommends giving preference to electric-powered machines in underground and building work. It is a public body that says so, not a salesman. INRS, booklet ED 6246 (February 2021) · directive (EU) 2019/130 — recorded on 27/08/2026

A reading trap, on a very widely sold machine. The characteristics of the ECR25 Electric have changed without the model changing its name:
a 2021 brochure announces 20 kWh and “up to 4 hours”, the 2026 product page announces 40 kWh and “up to 8 hours”. Taking a range figure without looking at the year of the sheet means being wrong by a factor of two.

Quick couplers:
the European standard was judged inadequate, then corrected

It is the most useful technical story of the year, and it is little told.
Between 2022 and 2025, the European Commission withdrew the presumption of conformity from the earthmoving machinery standard on its quick coupler part.
That restriction ended at the beginning of 2025.

An amendment to the ISO standard for quick couplers, published on 7 February 2025, now requires one of four devices to prevent a tool from coming off before full engagement:
automatic mechanical locking of the first pin, hoisting blocked as long as engagement is not correct, retention of the tool during the travel of the ram, or an audible and visual signal in the cab.

The underlying defect, stated by a prevention body: on a quick coupler, the locking takes place on the side away from the operator, who cannot check it by eye from the cab.
That is why checking that the tool is hitched should never rest on the driver's eye alone. ISO 13031:2016/Amd 1:2025 · Eurogip, 03/04/2019 · implementing decisions (EU) 2022/621 and 2026/546 — recorded on 27/08/2026

Automatic tool recognition:
what exists, and what does not

  • There is no standard for automatic attachment recognition Neither ISO nor EN.
The quick coupler standard itself says that the state of the art did not allow sensors to be made compulsory.
  • The reference standard is a private one Open-S, created in 2020 by two tiltrotator makers and opened since to others, defines a mechanical interface, a hydraulic interface and an optional electrical connector. ⚠ Automatic identification of the tool does not appear in it. And it is neither an ISO standard nor an EN standard.
  • What exists is commercial, not normative Wireless modules fitted to the tools, talking to a box in the cab, automatically load the parameters of the tool that is hitched.
It is one manufacturer's product, not a standard:
tools of another make do not benefit from it. Open-S specification, revision C of 29/09/2023 — recorded on 27/08/2026

Engine emission standards:
every deadline is behind us

Stage V applies in full; the last placing-on-the-market deadline was 1 January 2020. No following stage has been announced to date. If you are told of a coming emission deadline for a construction machine, ask which one. Regulation (EU) 2016/1628 — recorded on 27/08/2026

04 The projects

The major national projects

For a firm buying a bucket, the question is not “it is big”, it is “when does the earthmoving start”.
Here is what we recorded on 27 August 2026.

Where the earthmoving stands — recorded on 27/08/2026
Project State of the earthmoving What it represents
Seine-Nord Europe Canal Under way 57 Mm³ moved, of which 36 Mm³ surplus
Lyon-Turin Under way 49 km of tunnels out of 164, 37 Mt of material
EPR2 Penly Under way 1.7 Mm³ of chalk already extracted
EPR2 Gravelines Preparatory works authorised in August 2026 The most recent on the list
Fessenheim Decommissioning started in June 2026 405,000 t, of which 95% non-radioactive
Grand Paris Express Civil engineering still under way ~47 Mt of spoil over the programme
Urban renewal (NPNRU) Under way, 448 neighbourhoods 115,000 dwellings to demolish
Montpellier-Perpignan Works tender announced for September 2026 To watch now
Bordeaux-Toulouse (GPSO) ⚠ Large earthmoving contracts in the first half of 2028 Do not equip too early

The timetables that have slipped — to keep quiet about them would be lying by omission

  • Grand Paris Express, line 15 South:
    four successive postponements
From the end of 2025 to the autumn of 2027, in four announcements. ⚠ Any mention of “end of 2026” or “April 2027” is out of date — and the official public page is itself behind the latest announcement.
  • Lyon-Turin:
    the reference date is 2033
A 2026 report from the European Court of Auditors notes eighteen years of delay against the initial project. ⚠ The ministry's page still shows 2029:
    it is out of date.
It is the client body that governs.
  • Canal Seine-Nord:
    entry into service in 2032
Announced for 2013 at the public inquiry of 2006, then 2023.
The cost has gone from 3.5-4 billion euros to 7.3 billion.
  • EPR2 Penly:
    three years of slippage
From 2035 to 2038, according to the operator.

These figures are recorded, not checked one by one against the primary source. We publish them because they come from the client bodies and from public reports, and because they are dated. Do not base an investment on this page:
call the client body.
Three official sources could not be consulted on 27/08/2026 and are still missing from this table.

05 The site

What changes on this site

A site that changes without saying so gives the impression of never having changed.
So here is what has moved, dated.

  • 27 August 2026 — A correction, and we say so An earlier version of this page stated that the electric excavator “opens up sites forbidden to combustion engines”, in particular at night. That is inaccurate:
the hours for noisy work are set locally and apply whatever the equipment.
The passage has been rewritten, and the valid argument — that of the inside of a building, which rests on exposure to exhaust gases and not on noise — has replaced it. We correct by saying so, not by erasing.
  • 27 August 2026 — The show diary, the trade and the projects The three empty sections of this page are filled in, every item of information carrying its source and the date it was recorded. What we have not found is written as not found — and there is some.
  • 27 August 2026 — A transparency page This site is written with the help of artificial intelligences, under the control of the manager.
We prefer to write that ourselves, in detail. Read the page.
  • 26 August 2026 — A visual identity A logo and a brand, across the whole site.
  • August 2026 — Writing the site Catalogue, technical pages, pages by trade and by machine class. The site is not yet online:
it will be when the legal notices are complete.

A forum intended for customers is under consideration. It would let users exchange views on what fits, what holds and what disappoints — what no catalogue will ever say.
Its setting up depends on technical choices that are still open.

Something to tell us about?

A show, a demonstration, a new product we may have missed:
tell us.
We will check it at source before publishing it — and we will publish it.
