How this site is made

This site is written with the help of artificial intelligences.
We prefer to tell you ourselves, in detail, rather than let you find out.

This page is not a formality.
It exists because a customer who buys an attachment costing several thousand euros has the right to know who wrote what they are reading, who checked it, and who answers for it.

In one sentence

AIs write, a man decides.
Nothing is published on this site without Arnaud Dufour, the manager, having asked for it, read it or approved it.

01 Who decides

What we are, and what we are not

We manufacture nothing, and we do not sell a brand. À LA PELLE is multi-brand and multi-product, with no tie to any manufacturer — and therefore no reason whatever to steer you towards one rather than another.

What we actually do is the work that comes before the purchase. Analysing your fleet and your need, ruling out what will not fit, comparing what is left, and adapting the tool to your machine — the mounting plate, the interface, the flow rate.
A seller offers you what he has; we look for what fits.
It is not the same trade.

And if the tool is in no catalogue, we go and look for it. Identifying the supplier or the manufacturer who makes what you need is part of the work. That is the advantage of being tied to nobody:
no range limits us
, and an unusual request is not a refused request.

And here is the limit, because you need to know it: the guarantees, the manuals, the maintenance requirements and the technical characteristics commit the maker of the tool, not us.
That is why this site prescribes no maintenance and always refers to the manual.

One person decides, and that person has a name

Arnaud Dufour, manager.
Every page of this site exists because he asked for it.
Every text has been read by him or written to instructions he gave.
Every image has been chosen by him or submitted for his approval.

No page writes itself, and no publication is automatic. No content appears without a request, an idea or an approval from the manager.

There is nevertheless one automatism, and we prefer to write it down. A scheduled task periodically wakes the assistant in charge of images, so that it rereads the instructions written by the manager and carries on with what it was asked to do. It publishes nothing and modifies no page of this site.

He is also the one who rules when an AI gets it wrong — and that happens.
Several proposed texts were refused because they contained invented figures.
One image was set aside because the tool shown was not the right one.
Those refusals are dated and kept.

02 Who writes

What the machines do, precisely

We do not talk about “AI” in general.
Here are the ones that have actually worked on this site.

The work is shared, not compartmentalised. The same page may have been drafted by one, corrected by another and checked by the manager.
It is not an assembly line where each one holds its station:
it is work by several hands on the same document, with the disagreements that implies — and they are settled by the manager.

  • Writing and building the pages Claude assistants, from Anthropic.
They write the text and the code of the pages from written instructions, from technical documentation gathered beforehand, and from the decisions taken by the manager.
  • Illustrative photographs and the logo symbol Gemini, from Google.
Every image is examined at full resolution before publication, and flagged as a synthetic image under the caption.
  • Research, rewording and proofreading ChatGPT, from OpenAI, and Copilot, from Microsoft, called on from time to time for research and for texts.
  • … and this list is not closed Other tools may be added to it. They will be named here — that is the very principle of this page.
  • Cross-checking What one AI produces can be read by another, and is whenever that is possible. When it has not been done, the register says so. The site publishes no technical value:
no flow, no pressure, no dimension — apart from sourced manufacturer readings in the Fleet section.
    That choice is deliberate:
a value that is right for one machine is wrong for the next.
Everything is checked on the real machine, at the time of the study.

Each AI works within a scope defined in writing:
one writes the pages, the other produces the images and never writes into the site. It is a rule of method, kept and verifiable in the register — not a technical partition. We put it that way because it is exact:
nothing would physically prevent one of these AIs from reading the whole project.

03 The limits

What artificial intelligence does not do here

This list matters as much as the previous one.
These are prohibitions, not intentions.

  • It does not reply to you When you ask for a study, it is a person who replies to you.
There is on this site no chatbot, no automatic reply.
  • It sets no price No price is calculated by a machine.
No price is displayed in any case:
an attachment is costed after checking the machine.
  • It invents no technical data It is the strictest rule of the project.
A wrong dimension or flow would send a customer to buy a tool that will not fit their machine.
When a value is not documented, it is not written — you will see a dash, or an invitation to have it checked.
  • It collects nothing about you Without your consent, this site sets no cookie, uses no tracker and no external resource.
Nothing you do here is observed — with two exceptions, which you trigger yourself: the thumbs-up or heart under a photograph (the site keeps the count, not your name), and audience measurement, only if you click “Accept” in the banner.
Since version 5.00 it runs a third script:
the one for the banner, which remembers your answer for 6 months in your browser. The other two run on your device and send nothing out of it, except the thumbs-up or heart you place yourself; and the site remains fully navigable if you block them. The detail.
  • It decides nothing concerning you No automated processing classifies you, scores you, or decides what happens to your request. A completed form reaches a person, and it is that person who replies. Two automatic checks exist, and they are not about you:
the four required fields must be filled in, and an invisible trap turns robots away. A rejected request tells you so on screen — it is never refused in silence.
04 The images

Two kinds of image, and you always know which

  • Manufacturers' photographs — there are none left Seven photographs supplied by a partner distributor illustrated this site from 16 to 27 August 2026. They were all withdrawn on 27 August, and replaced by synthetic images.
We say so rather than erase it:
it is the same reason that makes us keep this page.
  • Photographs under a free licence Taken from Wikimedia Commons, with their author and their licence stated.
  • Synthetic images Produced by a generative model, and flagged “synthetic image” in their caption, without exception.
  • The logo, which is a case apart Its symbol also comes from an AI generation, then redrawn as vector artwork.
The name and the strapline are set in type:
no letter was drawn by a machine.
We say so because a logo carries the identity of a company, and a transparency page that flagged the photographs while keeping quiet about the origin of the logo would be incomplete.

A synthetic image illustrates a principle, it shows no product. It represents neither equipment actually on sale, nor an existing company, nor an existing person, and is not a technical description.
Our workshop scenes are demonstrations:
neither the place, nor the people, nor the visible markings designate anyone.

If an image and a text contradict each other, the text prevails — and if in doubt, ask us.

The detail is set out in the legal notice. You will not find there the list of synthetic images, and that is deliberate: a list kept by hand goes out of date with the first image added. It is the statement carried under each caption that prevails, image by image.

05 Traceability

Everything is written down somewhere

Every intervention by an AI on this site is recorded:
the date and time, which tool, which configured model, what was produced, which files, and who checked it.
The instructions sent to the image model are kept word for word.

Two points of honesty. “Configured model” and not “model used”:
a session knows the model assigned to it, it cannot certify that no switch took place on the supplier's side.
And it is the instructions sent to the image model that are archived — the exchanges between the manager and his assistants are not, apart from the register that links the two AIs together.

“Not checked” is an accepted entry in this register. A wrong answer is not.
When something has not been checked, it is written down.

This register is internal, but it is not secret.
If you have a serious reason to want to know how a particular page was written, ask for it :
the answer exists.

06 The framework

What the law requires, and what we do on top

  • The European regulation on artificial intelligence Regulation (EU) 2024/1689.
It requires in particular a clear statement that content has been generated or manipulated by an artificial intelligence. This page goes further:
it does not merely flag the images, it says who writes the texts and under whose control.
  • The prohibition of misleading commercial practices French Consumer Code, articles L. 121-1 et seq. Letting people believe in experience, references or customers that one does not have is a misleading practice. That is also why this site publishes no customer review and names nobody:
a review chosen by the seller does not inform the buyer, and a reference is not published without the agreement of the person it concerns.
What we say about our experience fits in three lines, in the legal notice — and we are in a position to establish it.
  • The information obligations of websites Law no. 2004-575 of 21 June 2004 on confidence in the digital economy.
    See the legal notice.
  • Data protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679.
It hardly applies here, for want of data collected:
no cookie, no tracker, and no audience measurement without your consent.
Only the information you send us willingly in a request for a study is processed.
It is not kept on this site:
it is taken into our internal management tool, in order to answer it and so as not to ask you the same questions twice about your machines.
That is what makes a second request go out faster than a first one.

A question about this page?

If something here seems to you unclear, incomplete or contradictory with what you read elsewhere on the site, tell us.
A transparency page that was itself approximate would make no sense.
