Grid bucket
here the mulch is spread without the soil.
Synthetic image.
A bucket whose bottom lets the fines through.
No motor, no line:
the separation is done by the movement of the arm.
Other names for this tool: mesh bucket, slotted bucket, separating bucket, passive sorting bucket.

What it is for
Right: a solid bucket carries the soil away with the stones, and the load goes to the lorry for nothing.
Computer-generated image.
it is what separates what you keep from what you leave.

no needless carting of soil.

The bottom, and sometimes the sides, are slotted.
By shaking the bucket, the soil and the fines fall while the coarse stays inside.
You recover the stones from a soil, the rubble from a fill, the roots from a heap, without using a drop of hydraulics.
It does not have the output of a screening bucket and does not claim to.
On modest volumes or a one-off operation, it avoids tying up a heavy hydraulic tool for half a day's work.
“Grid bucket” and “skeleton bucket” very often designate the same tool. The difference, where it exists, lies in the shape of the opening — parallel bars or mesh — and therefore in the cut obtained.
It is that cut that has to be discussed, not the name. See the skeleton bucket.
On which machine?
They exist for machines from 0,6 to 52 t.
For example, on a 10 to 20 t excavator, the weight is generally from 159 to 1 980 kg.
What the tool does
It is used for recycling and recovery.
For example, for a width of 800 mm: capacity from 111 to 331 l, weight from 64 to 198 kg.
Some models are made of wear-resistant steel, with automatic lubrication, to be checked with you.
What is needed on the hydraulic side
It needs no power source: it is a passive tool.
It generally needs from 130 to 180 l/min, at a pressure from 210 to 230 bar, depending on the size of the machine.

Your study sets the exact value for your machine.
Have your machine checked.
Tell us what you want to separate, in what volume, and what you will do with the two fractions.
If the volume is large, we will tell you frankly:
this is no longer the tool.
- Your machine Its make and its tonnage.
- The auxiliary circuit Its flow in l/min, its pressure in bar, single- or double-acting.
- The coupler in place Its system and its class.
- The work The use, and the material.
Without these details, the study still begins: we will ask you for them.

Skeleton bucket
Principle — bars on the bottom and the sides, whose spacing is the only setting.
Use — it is the tool for spoil that is destoned while loading, on a plot or an earthworks site. -
Ripper teeth and rippers
Principle — leverage through a single tooth, with no bottom or grid.
Use — it loosens fissured rock and pulls out stumps before loading, without sorting anything.
What determines the choice
-
01 — The cut
The spacing of the bars or the mesh:
it is the only setting, and it is fixed once and for all. - 02 — The material Sticky soil does not go through, even through a generous opening.
-
03 — The strength of the structure
A slotted bottom is a weakened bottom:
the reinforcement counts as much as the mesh. - 04 — The volume to be treated Beyond a certain volume, it is a screening bucket you need.
What is checked before ordering
-
What you want to keep
The passing fraction or the oversize:
that changes the cut. - The moisture of the material It decides the output, here again.
- The interface Coupler designation, or pin dimensions.
- The wear of the bottom It is the area that works, and the one that breaks.
