Grading bucket
Wide, smooth, toothless.
It does not dig:
it grades, it smooths, it finishes.
Other names for this tool: wide ditching bucket, finishing bucket, bank bucket, ditch bucket.

What it is for
Right: a narrow toothed bucket leaves furrows and overlap marks.
What sets it apart:
the absence of teeth is the key point — a tooth leaves a furrow, and a furrow on a finished bank is a job to be done again.

Its width makes it possible to cover the slope in one pass, which avoids the marks a narrow bucket leaves where it is picked up again.
The absence of teeth is the key point:
a tooth leaves a furrow, and a furrow on a finished bank is a job to be done again.
It is used at the end of the earthworks, when the shape is there and all that is left is to make it regular:
embankment slopes, a ditch, a platform, roadsides.
It does not replace an earthmoving bucket, and the reverse is even more true. Attacking compact ground with a smooth bucket deforms the edge without digging.
They are two tools that follow one another, not two tools that replace one another.
On which machine?
They exist for machines from 1,4 to 40 t.
For example, on a 10 to 20 t excavator, the weight is generally from 158 to 746 kg.
What the tool does
It is used to profile banks.
For example, for a width of 1 800 mm: capacity from 308 to 1 822 l, weight from 170 to 1 054 kg.
It also comes in a tilting version, controlled hydraulically.

What is needed on the hydraulic side
It needs no hydraulic connection, except in the tilting version.
For this version, the flow and pressure: we calculate them with you for your machine.

Your study sets the exact value for your machine.
Have your machine checked.
Describe the bank or the ditch to be graded:
length, slope aimed at, access.
Tell us also whether you already have a tiltrotator or a tilting coupler.
- Your machine Its make and its tonnage.
- The auxiliary circuit Its flow in l/min, its pressure in bar, single- or double-acting.
- The coupler in place Its system and its class.
- The work The use, and the material.

What determines the choice
- 01 — The width, chosen on the slope to be covered One clean pass is worth more than two passes joined together.
-
02 — The tilt
Fixed or hydraulically tilting:
the second sets the slope without moving the machine. -
03 — The weight at the end of the arm
A wide bucket is a long lever arm:
the load chart is checked at maximum reach, not at the foot. - 04 — The edge protection It is what wears, and it is what makes the quality of the finish.
What is checked before ordering
- The slope to be obtained And the length over which it must be regular.
- The working reach It is what governs the sizing, not the depth.
- The load chart at that reach Bucket full, arm extended.
- The interface Coupler designation or pin dimensions.
