On-board hydraulic power pack
the tool brings its own supply.

The machine has no auxiliary line, or it has one that is not enough.
The power pack brings the hydraulics with it:
it asks the excavator only to carry it.
Other names for this tool: self-contained hydraulic unit, independent power unit, power pack, hydraulic generator.

What it is for
Right: without an auxiliary line, the hydraulic tool has nothing to power it.
What sets it apart:
it asks the excavator only to carry it — it is the answer when the machine cannot be modified.

it controls nothing, it is the valve that controls.

Some tools call for hydraulics that the carrier does not supply:
either because no auxiliary line has ever been fitted, or because the one that exists does not deliver what the tool expects.
The on-board power pack produces those hydraulics itself, independently of the machine's circuit.
It is also the answer when a tool has to go from one machine to another without each of them being equipped, or when a hired machine cannot be modified.
The tool arrives with what it needs, and the carrier becomes a carrier again.
An on-board power pack is paid for in weight, in size and in maintenance. It adds a mass to be carried, an engine to be looked after, and a source of noise and emissions where there was none.
Before considering it, the first question remains that of the line:
equipping the machine is often simpler and cheaper. See the auxiliary hydraulic line.
On which machine?
An on-board hydraulic power pack suits all machines.
It is mounted on the machine itself, independently of the coupler.
The exact mounting: we calculate it with you for your machine.
What the tool does
It produces hydraulic power, with a combustion engine or an electric motor.
The weight of the complete power pack: we calculate it with you for your machine.
What is needed on the hydraulic side
It replaces the machine's auxiliary line.
The type of engine, its power, the flow and the pressures: we calculate them with you for your machine.
Your study sets the exact value for your machine.
Don't have these figures?
A photo of the machine is enough to start.
Have your machine checked.
Tell us which tool you want to run and on which machine.
Send us a photograph of the end of the dipper arm:
it often turns out that the line exists and that the power pack is unnecessary.

- What is fitted What equips the machine today.
- The work What the machine is used for.
Without these details, the study still begins: we will ask you for them.

What determines the choice
-
01 — The reason for what is missing
No line at all, or an insufficient line:
the remedy is not the same. - 02 — The number of machines concerned A tool that moves between several carriers changes the calculation.
- 03 — The weight added at the end of the arm It comes off the payload, and it adds to that of the tool.
- 04 — The constraints of the site Noise, emissions and refuelling arise differently on an occupied site.
What is checked before ordering
-
What the tool really calls for
Flow, pressure, single or double acting:
the tool's characteristics, not an estimate. - What the machine can already supply The line may exist and not be connected.
- The weight and size of the whole To be checked on the load chart, tool and power pack fitted.
-
The cost of the alternative
Fitting an auxiliary line can be costed:
compare the two before deciding.
