Tipping handling skip
Synthetic image.
It does not dig:
it carries, then it empties where it is told.
It is a container, not an earthmoving tool.
Other names for this tool: handling skip, tipping bucket, excavator-mounted site skip, transport bucket.

What it is for
Right: an open bucket used for carrying loses its load along the way.
What sets it apart:
it closes the volume during the journey, and returns it where you decide.
Computer-generated image.
A bucket carries badly:
it loses its load at the first obstacle and it tips where the arm allows, not where it is needed.
A skip closes the volume during the journey and returns it at the chosen point, by tipping.
It is used where the lorry cannot go in:
inside a building, an enclosed garden, a narrow platform, a long route between the stockpile area and the point of use.
The material stays inside, and that is all that is asked of it.
A full skip is still a load at the end of the arm. The volume is what you notice when buying;
the weight of the material once inside is what decides on site, and a wet material is nothing like the same material dry.
The load chart is read with the skip full and the arm extended.
On which machine?
The bucket fits all couplers, via a mounting plate.
The machine class depends on the size of the bucket.

What the tool does
This tipping skip is used for handling and lifting.
Its struck volume, its maximum load when full and its empty weight: we calculate them with you for your machine.
What is needed on the hydraulic side
Depending on the version, the bucket is mechanical, with no power needed, or double-acting hydraulic.
For the hydraulic version, the flow and the pressure: we calculate them with you for your machine.
Your study sets the exact value for your machine.
Don't have these figures?
A photo of the machine is enough to start.
Have your machine checked.
Tell us what you are moving, over what distance, and what stops a lorry or a wheelbarrow from doing it.
Give us the narrowest clearance on the route too.
- Your machine Its make and its tonnage.
- The auxiliary circuit Its flow in l/min, its pressure in bar, single- or double-acting.
- The coupler in place Its system and its class.
- The work The use, and the material.
Without these details, the study still begins: we will ask you for them.

What determines the choice
- 01 — The material carried Its density sets the usable volume long before the stated capacity does.
-
02 — The method of tipping
Controlled tipping or tipping by gravity:
the first is mastered, the second is endured. - 03 — The tipping point Height available and clearance at the moment the skip tips.
- 04 — The empty weight It adds to the load at the end of the arm, and there is no making up for it.
What is checked before ordering
- The load chart at the tipping reach Skip full, arm extended — not at the foot of the machine.
-
The clearance along the route
Doorways, paths, changes of level:
it is often that which sizes the tool, not the volume. - The hydraulic line if the version is controlled A line available and an accessible control.
- The interface Coupler designation or pin dimensions.
