Concrete mixing bucket for tractors and loaders

You want to mix and pour concrete with your loader or telehandler.
Three points decide:
the quantity per batch, the machine's lifting capacity with the bucket full, the hydraulic functions available.
A photo of the machine and its hitch is enough to start.

A farm loader pours fresh concrete through the side hatch of a closed mixing bucket into the formwork of a foundation footing, at the foot of a post of a shed under construction; nobody is visible.
The hatch opens, the concrete falls into the formwork.

A closed bucket that mixes.
It takes the cement, the sand and the water,
and empties the concrete where it is poured.

Other names for this tool: concrete mixer bucket, loader mixing bucket, concrete bucket, loader-mounted concrete mixer, hydraulic mixing bucket.

The essentials

Working the soil
Hitch
Euro hitch, farm loader, wheel loader or telehandler, depending on the model
Drive
Hydraulic; drive and hatch control depending on the model, to be confirmed in the study
Carrier machine

01 Use

What it is for

On the left, the hatch opens and the concrete flows into the formwork of the footing. On the right, the grid takes the bags, the closed tub mixes during the journey. Computer-generated image.

Left: the hatch opens and the concrete flows into the formwork of the footing.
Right: the grid takes the bags, the closed tub mixes during the journey.
What sets it apart:
the bucket mixes in its closed tub while it travels, then empties through its hatch.

The mixing bucket hitches to a Euro frame, a farm loader, a wheeled loader or a telehandler.
It does three things:
take in the materials, mix them, discharge the batch.
A hydraulic motor drives the mixing device in the tub, by chain or by another drive depending on the model.
Depending on the equipment, a grid takes the bags and a serrated blade helps to split them.

The control of the discharge hatch depends on the model:
it is checked in the instructions of the bucket chosen.
Some models carry a collar on the hatch that takes a hose to the formwork.
This is the tool for the foundation footing, setting posts, the small slab, mortar and screed, on the farm or the site, without a mixer or a truck.

A bucket full of fresh concrete weighs far more than its volume suggests. The capacity of the machine is judged with the bucket full, arms raised, not empty.
The batch volume and the oil flow depend on the model, not on a generic figure.

02 What we check with you

On which machine?

This mixing bucket fits on a farm loader, a telehandler or a wheel loader, not on an excavator.
Depending on the model, it is hitched by a Euro hitch or another standard.
The exact hitch and the lifting capacity, tool and load included: we calculate them with you for your machine.

What the tool does

It mixes the concrete and has a hatch.
Its weight without options: we calculate it with you for your machine.

What is needed on the hydraulic side

It works hydraulically, for mixing, the hatch, and a case drain if the bucket's manual requires it.
The drive and the hatch control depend on the model, to be checked with you.
The number of functions, the flow and the pressure: we calculate them with you for your machine.

Your study sets the exact value for your machine.

Don't have these figures?
A photo of the machine is enough to start.

03 Your study

Have your equipment checked.

Describe what you pour, footings, slab or post settings, and the machine that will carry the bucket.
Specify the quantity per working day.

What we need to answer you
  • Your loader Its hitch: Euro, or another.
  • Lifting The lifting capacity of the loader.
  • The 3rd function Present or not.
  • The work The use.

Without these details, the study still begins: we will ask you for them.

04 Choice

What determines the choice

Each point says what changes the choice.
The values, we check them in your carrier's instructions and in the tool's.

  • 01 — What you prepare Concrete, mortar or screed, a few footings or a small slab:
the bucket is chosen with the quantity per batch and the pace of the job.
  • 02 — Where you empty At the foot of the formwork, into a trench, at the end of a hose:
the hatch and its collar decide the precision of the pour.
  • 03 — The machine and the hitch Euro hitch, farm loader, wheel loader, telehandler:
the bucket is chosen with the machine that carries it, full.
  • 04 — Bucket or mixer The mixing bucket is picked up and emptied like a bucket;
the self-standing mixer, hitched to the three-point linkage, keeps its tub behind the tractor.
05 Check

What is checked before ordering

  • Flow and control valves Depending on the model, mixing and the hatch call for one or two hydraulic functions, and sometimes a case drain.
The instructions of the bucket chosen say so, and we check that the machine provides them on top of the loader movements.
  • The electric control When the model has an electro-hydraulic control, its control box is powered from the machine's circuit:
we check the socket and the cable route to the cab.
  • The capacity of the machine It is checked with the bucket full of fresh concrete, raised to the discharge height, not empty.
  • Cleaning Concrete that dries in the tub blocks the mixing:
we check access to water and the washing time after each batch.
