Pipe clamp
and nobody needs to be at the bottom to guide it.
Synthetic image.
It grips the pipe instead of slinging it.
The hold is firm and can be turned:
the joint is made with nobody under the load.
Other names for this tool: tube clamp, pipe holder, pipe-laying clamp, pipe grapple.

What it is for
Right: two narrow contact points crush the pipe wall at the clamping points.
What sets it apart:
a sling lets the pipe turn and swing, and somebody always ends up guiding it by hand.
Computer-generated image.
A sling leaves the pipe free to turn and to swing, and somebody always ends up guiding it by hand.
A clamp holds the pipe:
it presents it in the line wanted, and the joint is made by the machine.
The jaws follow the shape of the pipe and spread the squeezing force, which matters on materials that do not forgive local crushing.
The squeezing is a hydraulic function:
a circuit has to be available and a control accessible from the driving position.
Squeezing is not holding. A friction grip depends on the state of the pipe, on its cleanliness, on its real shape:
a greasy or deformed pipe is not held like a new one.
As long as the load is in the air, the operation comes under lifting and its rules — nobody underneath, devices in working order, maximum load known.
On which machine?
The grab fits all couplers via a mounting plate.
Depending on its size, it suits different machine classes.
Exact class, coupler details and lifting conditions: we calculate them with you for your machine.
What the tool does
It is used to handle and lift pipes.
The maximum load, the gripping range and the weight of the clamp: we calculate them with you for your machine.
What is needed on the hydraulic side
In the mechanical version, no power source is needed; in the hydraulic version, a double-acting circuit is needed.
The flow and pressure: we calculate them with you for your machine.
Your study sets the exact value for your machine.
Don't have these figures?
A photo of the machine is enough to start.
Have your machine checked.
Tell us what you lay:
nature of the pipes, range of sizes, depth of trench, access.
Say how many hydraulic lines your machine has.
- Your machine Its make and its tonnage.
- The auxiliary circuit Its flow in l/min, its pressure in bar, single- or double-acting.
- The coupler in place Its system and its class.
- The work The use, and the material.
Without these details, the study still begins: we will ask you for them.

Pipe layer
Principle — it lowers the pipe into the trench, presents it and then releases it, in a mechanical or hydraulic version.
Use — it is chosen to lay at the bottom and release, rather than to carry the pipe.
What determines the choice
-
01 — The nature of the pipe
Concrete, iron, synthetic material:
they do not accept the same squeezing. - 02 — The range of pipes to be covered A clamp covers a range, not the whole yard.
- 03 — The orientation Presenting a pipe in line with the trench without moving the machine changes the output of the station.
- 04 — The behaviour in case of pressure loss The question arises before the purchase, and it deserves a written answer.
What is checked before ordering
- The range of pipes actually handled That of tomorrow's job, not only today's.
- The hydraulic line and its control The squeezing is controlled from the cab, or it is not controlled at all.
- The maximum working load Marked, and consistent with the machine's load chart at the laying reach.
- The devices required for lifting Handling a suspended pipe is lifting, whatever the name of the tool.
