Weld-on mounting plate

A welder in a helmet welding a mounting plate with drilled ears onto the back of a tool, torch in hand, the fresh weld bead visible with its ripples; clamps in place, workshop blurred behind.
The weld is permanent:
it is planned before, not after.
Synthetic image.

It is the part that brings a tool to the format of your coupler.
It is the reason why you do not have to change coupler:
it is the tool that adapts.

Other names for this tool: mounting plate, fitting plate, welded interface, hitch plates.

01 Use

What it is for

On the left, the bucket carries its welded mounting plate and takes on the machine's standard. On the right, the same bare bucket, without an interface, its mounting plate set down beside it. Computer-generated image.

Left: the bucket carries its welded mounting plate and takes on the machine's standard.
Right: the same bare bucket, without an interface, its mounting plate set down beside it.
It is the tool that adapts, not the coupler.

The two drilled ears of a weld-on mounting plate, seen from the front, their machined bores clean and their chamfers visible, set on their flat base.
It is the two bores that do the work:
the base only holds them in line.

A bucket, a grab or a grapple belong to no standard:
they carry the mounting plate that has been welded onto them.
The same tool can therefore be supplied in type S, in type CW, in Klac or in Morin, without changing anything else.

It is the real technical argument of the trade, and it can be checked:
the customer does not have to convert their machine, nor their fleet.
It is the tool that comes to them.

A mounting plate is a structural part, not a finishing part. It takes all the breakout and curling forces.
Its geometry, the quality of the steel and the preparation of the weld decide the service life of the whole — not the price shown.

02 Key technical data

On which machine?

The mounting plate adapts to all couplers: that is its purpose.
All machine classes are covered, depending on the standard and the size.
The right standard and the right size: we calculate them with you for your machine.

What the tool does

The mounting plate is welded onto the tool, to connect it to the coupler.
The weight of a mounting plate: we calculate it with you for your machine.

What is needed on the hydraulic side

No hydraulic connection: the mounting plate needs no power source.

Your study sets the exact value for your machine.

03 Your study

Have your machine checked.

Send us a photograph of your coupler with its designation, and photographs of the tool to be equipped.
If you know the workshop that will do the welding, say so.

What we need to answer you
  • Your machine Its exact make and model.
  • What is fitted What equips the machine today.
  • The work What the machine is used for.

Without these details, the study still begins: we will ask you for them.

04 Choice

What determines the choice

  • 01 — The standard and size aimed at They come from your coupler, read off it.
  • 02 — Compatibility with the body of the tool Thickness, curvature and bearing area are not made good with an angle grinder.
  • 03 — The quality of the steel It is what distinguishes two plates of the same dimensions at different prices.
  • 04 — Who does the welding A well-designed plate badly welded is worth no more than a bad plate.
05 Check

What is checked before ordering

  • The exact designation of your coupler Read off it, photographed if possible.
  • The geometry of the tool to be equipped Photographs from several angles, with a rule if you can.
  • The position of the plate on the tool It changes the working angle and the depth of attack:
it is decided, not put up with.
  • The availability of a workshop Welding on site or in a workshop:
that changes the lead time and the price.
