Adapter between two systems
it is the way of keeping a mixed fleet going.

It allows a tool of one standard to be fitted on a coupler of another.
It is the way of keeping going when you inherit a mixed fleet.
Other names for this tool: coupler adapter, adapting interface, transition piece.

What it is for
Right: without an adapter, the coupler and the tool's mounting plate do not fit together.
Its upper face speaks the standard of the coupler, its lower face that of the tool.
Computer-generated image.
A machine bought second-hand, a replacement machine, a tool found used:
the fleet becomes mixed without anyone having decided it.
The adapter avoids sending everything to the workshop at once.
It is justified above all as a transitional solution, while converging towards a single standard — or for a tool used too rarely to justify a dedicated mounting plate.
It is inserted, so it adds height, weight and one more connection. Three drawbacks together, on a tool that already had them.
It is not a satisfactory permanent solution:
it is a bridge between two states.
On which machine?
An adapter carries two coupler interfaces, one on each side.
The machine class depends on the two coupler standards: we calculate it with you for your machine.
What the tool does
It is used to connect and adapt two coupler systems to each other.
Its weight: we calculate it with you for your machine.
What is needed on the hydraulic side
It is a passive tool: it needs no hydraulic connection.
Your study sets the exact value for your machine.
Have your machine checked.
Tell us the standard of your coupler and that of the tool to be fitted.
Say whether it is to get by or to last:
the answer is not the same.
- Your machine Its make and its tonnage.
- The auxiliary circuit Its flow in l/min, its pressure in bar, single- or double-acting.
- The coupler in place Its system and its class.
- The work The use, and the material.
Without these details, the study still begins: we will ask you for them.

What determines the choice
- 01 — Whether it is temporary or permanent If it is permanent, a mounting plate in the right standard is worth more.
- 02 — How often the tool concerned is used A tool used every day deserves its own mounting plate.
- 03 — The reach lost, accepted It adds to that of the coupler.
- 04 — The forces involved An adapter on a demolition tool is not dealt with as on a bucket.
What is checked before ordering
- The two exact designations That of your coupler and that of the tool's mounting plate.
-
The total height added
Coupler plus adapter:
the total is measured. - The load chart, with the total Tool full, arm extended.
- Safety compatibility The anti-release device must stay effective through the adapter.
