Mini-excavator quick coupler
You want to change tools on your mini-excavator without removing the pins.
Three points decide:
mechanical or hydraulic coupler, the weight and height it adds, the standard of your tools.
A photo of the end of the dipper arm is enough to start.
The same logic as on a large machine, with two tight constraints:
the weight added, and the hydraulics available.
Other names for this tool: mini-digger coupler, mini-excavator quick hitch, small-class coupler.

What it is for
Right: without hoses at the end of the dipper arm, no hydraulic tool can work.
What sets it apart:
here the coupler is judged on what it adds — height under the dipper arm, weight at the end of the arm.

its two ears and its two pins are what the coupler comes to grip.
The pin centres and the pin diameter are measured before any order.

On a small machine, the tool fleet builds up quickly:
an earthmoving bucket, a ditching bucket, sometimes an auger or a breaker.
Without a coupler, every change ties up the machine and two people.
It is proportionally in these classes that the quick coupler changes the working day the most — and it is also there that the weight it adds is paid for most dearly in reach.
The mechanical coupler needs no hydraulics; the hydraulic coupler and hydraulic tools do. Many mini-excavators have no auxiliary line.
Without it, no breaker, no grab, no auger — and the driver can check it themselves by looking for hoses at the end of the dipper arm. See the auxiliary line.
On which machine?
They exist for machines from 1 to 12 t.
For example, on a 2 to 5 t mini-excavator, the weight is generally from 14 to 295 kg.
What the tool does
The coupler is used to connect and adapt the tool to the machine.
For example, on a 2 to 5 t mini-excavator: width from 230 to 270 mm.
Locking is done by hand on the mechanical version, or from the cab on the hydraulic version.
What is needed on the hydraulic side
The mechanical version needs no power.
The hydraulic version needs its locking cylinder to be supplied, to be checked with you.
It is controlled from the cab, separately from the line that supplies the tools, to be checked with you.
Pressure recorded on micro-excavators and mini-excavators: 200 bar.

Your study sets the exact value for your machine.
Have your machine checked.
Send us a photograph of the end of the dipper arm of your mini-excavator and its exact model.
We will tell you what it can take, and what it cannot.
- Your machine Its make and its tonnage.
- The version wanted Mechanical, with no power, or hydraulic, with a locking control in the cab.
-
The auxiliary circuit
For hydraulic tools only:
its flow in l/min, its pressure in bar, single or double acting. - The coupler in place Its system and its class.
- The work The use, and the material.
Without these details, the study still begins: we will ask you for them.

What determines the choice
Each point says what changes the choice.
The values, we check them in your carrier's instructions and in the tool's.
-
01 — Mechanical or hydraulic
The mechanical version is locked by hand, with no power;
the hydraulic version is locked from the cab and needs a control for its cylinder. - 02 — The weight added On a light machine, every kilo at the end of the arm is taken off the payload.
- 03 — The hire company's standard, if you hire Alternating between a hired machine and your own pushes you to line up with the most widespread local standard.
- 04 — The height added It reduces the useful digging depth, which counts in the small classes.
What is checked before ordering
- The presence of hoses at the end of the dipper arm The most useful photograph you can send us.
- The designation marked on the original coupler A letter or a number, depending on the system.
- The tonnage in running order Not the sales tonnage.
- The tools already owned They impose the standard.
