Demolition ram
a continuous push, and the wall topples.
Synthetic image.
It does not strike, it does not squeeze:
it pushes.
The force comes from the arm and the ram, not from a beating piston.
Other names for this tool: hydraulic demolition ram, demolition pusher, pushing tool.

What it is for
Right: the breaker strikes with repeated blows and sends the percussion back into the machine.
What sets it apart:
it pushes instead of striking — and what the machine gives, it does not take back.
Computer-generated image.
The principle is one of continuous pushing:
the tool bears on the element to be brought down, and the machine's force does the rest.
There is no repeated blow and no jaw closing — so no percussion passed to what is still standing, and a noise nothing like that of a hammer.
Its use is found where you want to topple rather than reduce:
a partition, a panel, an element already freed from its structure.
The work is done by unbalancing, not by breaking up, and it calls for a stable bearing point as much as for a tool.
This word has no single definition in the trade. Depending on who you talk to, it means a pushing tool, an add-on ram, or sometimes a large-calibre hammer.
We will not publish a definition we cannot guarantee:
describe the work rather than the tool, that is how the misunderstanding is avoided. Go through the study.
On which machine?
A demolition ram fits all couplers, via a mounting plate.
The excavator class depends on its size: we calculate it with you for your machine.
What the tool does
It is used to demolish and break.
Its weight: we calculate it with you for your machine.
What is needed on the hydraulic side
Depending on the version, it may or may not need a hydraulic connection.
The flow and the pressure: we calculate them with you for your machine.
Your study sets the exact value for your machine.
Don't have these figures?
A photo of the machine is enough to start.
Have your machine checked.
Describe precisely the structure to be brought down and what has to stay standing around it.
We will say whether pushing is the right method, or whether a grab or a hammer is needed.
- Your machine Its make and its tonnage.
- The auxiliary circuit Its flow in l/min, its pressure in bar, single- or double-acting.
- The coupler in place Its system and its class.
- The work The use, and the material.
Without these details, the study still begins: we will ask you for them.

What determines the choice
-
01 — The work actually aimed at
Toppling, pushing apart, separating or breaking up:
these are not the same verbs, nor the same tools. - 02 — How the carrier takes the forces Pushing loads the boom, the upperstructure and the undercarriage differently from digging.
- 03 — The absence of percussion That is the argument, when the constraint is the vibration passed to the neighbouring building.
- 04 — The stability of the bearing point A pushing force on a bearing point that gives way is a risk, not a method.
What is checked before ordering
- The written description of the work What you want to bring down, in which direction, and onto what.
- The condition of the structure What is still standing around governs the method.
- The carrier's limits in pushing The lifting load chart does not give them.
- The interface and the forces it takes A coupler takes badly a force it was not designed to take.
