Mini-excavator breaker
The auxiliary line hoses run down the dipper arm to the hammer.

The same principle as on a large machine, on a machine that has almost no margin.
The hydraulic line decides first:
without it, there is nothing to discuss.
Other names for this tool: mini-excavator breaker, mini-excavator hydraulic hammer, mini-excavator concrete breaker, compact hammer.

What it is for
Right: without a hydraulic line, the mini-excavator cannot run the hammer.
What sets it apart:
it is often the first hydraulic tool bought — so the one that reveals what is missing.

In these classes, the breaker is very often the first hydraulic tool bought.
It is therefore what reveals whether the machine has an auxiliary line — and many mini-excavators do not.
The driver can check it alone:
they look to see whether there are hoses at the end of the dipper arm.
The work is that of a small site:
a slab, a low wall, a concrete stump, a rock bed at the bottom of an excavation, a trench in hard ground.
The machine has little mass to take the recoil of the blow, and the tool must stay pressed down and in line:
it is a matter of driving as much as of tooling.
The reflex is to take the biggest hammer the machine will accept.
That is the most common mistake. The right method is to choose the model whose carrier range includes your machine without placing it at the top of the range.
A hammer taken at the limit of its range works at maximum all its life, and the machine with it. See the breaker in general.
On which machine?
They exist for machines from 0,8 to 12 t.
For example, on a 2 to 5 t mini-excavator, the weight is generally from 110 to 470 kg.
It fits all quick couplers, via a mounting plate, or directly on the pins.
What the tool does
The recorded noise level ranges from 87 to 91 dB(A), to be checked with you.
For example, on a 2 to 5 t mini-excavator: blow rate from 500 to 1 200 blows/min, tool diameter from 44 to 85 mm.
It is also available in a silenced version, to be checked with you.
What is needed on the hydraulic side
It needs an auxiliary circuit, with hoses at the end of the dipper arm and a correctly sized return to tank.
It generally needs from 10 to 90 l/min, at a pressure from 80 to 160 bar, depending on the size of the machine.

Your study sets the exact value for your machine.
Have your machine checked.
Give us the exact model of your mini-excavator and a photograph of the end of the dipper arm.
Then describe what you have to break:
we will tell you which range to choose.
- Your machine Its make and its tonnage.
- The auxiliary circuit Its flow in l/min, its pressure in bar, single- or double-acting.
- The coupler in place Its system and its class.
- The work The use, and the material.
Without these details, the study still begins: we will ask you for them.

What determines the choice
- 01 — The hydraulic line available It decides feasibility before any other question.
- 02 — The carrier range, without being at the top The model chosen must cover your machine with a margin, not take it at its upper limit.
-
03 — The flow and the pressure really available
Underfed, the hammer loses its rate;
overfed, it overheats.
It is the figures at the outlet that count, not those at the pump. -
04 — The material
Rock, reinforced concrete, asphalt:
they call for neither the same striking tool, nor the same working rate.
What is checked before ordering

- The flow and the pressure at the coupling Read on the machine, not from a brochure.
